About the role
The Completions Manager is responsible for managing a pipeline of credit-approved deals, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and accurately through to drawdown. The role supports the delivery of a high-quality customer experience by progressing cases in line with agreed service levels and timescales. Working closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers, the Completions Manager coordinates activities, resolves issues, and maintains effective communication to ensure the timely and successful completion of transactions .
  • Manage the progression of credit-approved deals from approval through to drawdown, ensuring all required actions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales. 
  • Monitor and manage a pipeline of transactions, proactively identifying and resolving queries, delays, and bottlenecks to support timely completions.
  • Liaise with Lending Managers, Underwriters, Legal, Compliance, customers, introducers, solicitors, valuers, and other third-party suppliers to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of all pre-drawdown requirements, ensuring documents, conditions, and supporting information are obtained and reviewed in line with procedures.
  • Complete Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and credit searches in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry and maintenance of loan data and customer records across internal systems.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on case progress and managing expectations throughout the completion process.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with internal policies, risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Utilise internal systems effectively to record, track, and manage deal progression, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the testing, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of operational systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer experience through continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to operational reporting by maintaining accurate records and providing updates on pipeline activity when required. 
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Previous property lending experience within financial services, banking, specialist finance, or lending operations.
  • Experience supporting the progression of lending transactions from approval through to completion and drawdown.
  • Practical experience conducting KYC, AML, and customer due diligence checks.
  • Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers, including solicitors and valuers.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and updating loan management or workflow systems.
  • Familiarity with loan onboarding, completions, and drawdown processes. 
  • Strong understanding of property lending operations, completions, and drawdown processes.
  • Good knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements within a lending environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when processing do Ability to identify and proactively resolve issues that may impact transaction completion.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with customers, introducers, solicitors, valuers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using operational systems and technology to manage workflows and maintain data integrity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and service level agreements.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to support process improvement initiatives. 
  • Desirable
  • CeMAP or other relevant financial services qualification.
  • Qualification in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • AML, KYC, Financial Crime, or Compliance-related certification. 
  • Experience in bridging finance is preferred; experience within other secured or unsecured lending products would be advantageous.
  • Experience using lending, CRM, or workflow management systems; experience with nCino is advantageous.
