Redwood Credit Union is looking for an Insurance Administrator, who will perform a wide variety of semi-routine duties to assist Members in the sales and service of ancillary products.
 
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
• Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Call Members referred to the insurance agency by branch, Member Service Center, or other referrals.
• Make and receive calls from customers assisting them with their questions and resolving problems as appropriate.
• Ensure maximum flexibility to relieve and/or assist in a variety of functions as needed.
• Make and receive calls from customers to complete worksheets to facilitate insurance quotes and product claims.
• Offer and educate Members of Ancillary products.
Administrative:
• Request necessary paperwork that is not received from customers or Insurance Department team members.
• Work with credit life and disability, payment protection, GAP & MBP insurance carriers to process claims.
• Assemble and record paperwork for insurance sales as needed.
• Organize and complete both customer and insurance company inquiries.
• Update reports on a frequent basis.
• Work with Account Manager(s) to process documents for insurance sales and renewals.
• Work with Members to deliver quotes, bind coverage and service policies as requested.
• Follow up with Members to obtain additional information to provide accurate quote.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly lead and sales tracking reports.
• Research and solve member problems and complaints in an accurate and timely manner.
• Update database of customer information.
• Aid Insurance department team members in achieving sales and service goals.
• Perform all functions in a security conscientious manner.
• Establish systems to facilitate insurance transactions more efficiently.
• Monitor the response time of insurance quotes, sales, and service response.
Other Functions:
• Implement new CUSO/Credit Union related products and services with other team members of RCU Insurance Services.
• Provide feedback on marketing efforts.
• Visit branches/departments to promote insurance agency.

  • Knowledge of financial and insurance products and services.
  • Skill in the operation of a PC with the use of word processing and spreadsheet software, and modern office equipment.
  • Excellent service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively work on the telephone to obtain insurance information.
  • Ability to complete detailed paperwork and collect documents necessary to complete insurance transactions.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions for customers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and follow-through on tasks.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Must have an active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • An active Life or Life/Health Insurance License is a plus.
