Position Overview:
River Edge is seeking a dedicated RN Night Shift Supervisor to join our Recovery Center team. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee and coordinate the nightly nursing team, ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care to individuals on their recovery journey from substance use disorders.
Location/Schedule:
3575 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, GA, 36-hour 3-12-hour shifts Sunday-Saturday 7pm-7am
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise nightly operations of nursing staff and adjust staffing patterns based on patient census and care needs.
Complete physical and mental health assessments and develop individualized patient care plans.
Administer and monitor treatment regimens and prescribed medications under appropriate medical supervision.
Observe, document, and report behavioral and clinical changes in patients.
Maintain strict control and accountability of medications.
Qualifications:
Active Georgia RN license in good standing.
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in psychiatric care.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting.
Familiarity with CARF or Joint Commission standards.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; experience working with healthcare bargaining units preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, and stand for long periods.
Ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
Capacity to respond to unexpected medical or psychiatric crises.
