Responsibilities

As a Custodian, your day will be active, varied, and essential. You'll help ensure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for public use. Typical responsibilities include:

Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, offices, locker rooms, and common areas

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining floors and surfaces
→
Emptying trash and restocking supplies
→
Traveling between city facilities to perform custodial duties
→
Assisting with minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or painting
→
Supporting event setup and takedown
→
Maintaining equipment and reporting any issues or safety concerns
→
Assisting with pool maintenance and cleaning equipment at aquatic facilities

Every Custodian plays a vital role in creating a positive environment for the community .

This Custodian position offers a flexible part-time schedule of 20–30 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays.

To succeed as a Custodian, you should bring:

Minimum age of 16 (18+ preferred for driving duties)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
A valid Utah driver's license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift
A strong work ethic and attention to detail

Previous custodial experience is helpful, but not required-what matters most is your reliability and willingness to learn.
