CNC Machinist

Position: CNC Machinist

 Location: North Vernon, IN/Madison, IN

Full-Time: 6am - 3pm

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to support the production of injection molded components and tooling for plastic injection molds. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality parts that meet tight tolerance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:  

● Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment

● Machine mold components and tooling used in plastic injection molds

● Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and job specifications

● Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining methods

● Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish

● Perform in-process inspections and make necessary offsets or adjustments

● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

● Collaborate with mold makers, die builders, and engineering teams to meet production goals

 Requirements

● 1–3+ years of CNC machining experience (setup, operation, basic programming)

● Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and best practices

● Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

● Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
