Rugby Architectural Building Products is a nationwide distributor of specialty building products with 26 locations across the United States. Our Rockford, IL location operates as River City Millwork, serving customers across the building materials and woodworking industries.

As a Door Shop Fabricator, you'll help build and prepare interior and exterior doors and door frames for our customers. This position combines manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, and warehouse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Pay: $18-23 per hour dependent on experience
• Monday-Friday schedule
• Day shift: 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

• →Fabricate interior and exterior doors and door frames.
• →Operate equipment such as table saws, routers, chop saws, nail guns, and other production tools.
• →Assemble and customize doors to customer specifications.
• →Assist with staging, loading, and securing products for delivery.
• →Load and unload materials safely and accurately.
• →Support warehouse operations, including receiving and storing materials.
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• →Attend safety meetings and follow all company safety procedures and policies.

This role requires regular lifting, carrying, moving, and positioning of doors, frames, and building materials throughout the workday.

Team members should be comfortable working in a production environment and performing physically demanding work. Many products are large, heavy, and awkward to handle, requiring teamwork and safe material-handling practices.

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, machine operation, warehouse, construction, or similar environments preferred.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, or production equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and carry materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to move products weighing 75-100 pounds with team assistance.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
