Section Leader (Secondment - 6 months)

The Section Leader will oversee daily operations within a designated section of the manufacturing process, ensuring that Safety protocols, production targets and quality standards are consistently met. This role requires strong management, operational efficiency and commitment to contentious improvement to drive performance and meet business objectives.
· Heath and Safety
Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies.
Conduct risk assessment and safety audits regularly, addressing hazard proactively.
· Operational Management;
Manage and coordinate activities to meet production schedules.
Allocate tasks and resources effectively to maximum productivity and efficiency
Monitor production processes, identifying and resolving operational issues promptly.
· Team management
manage, motivate and develop a team.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to support colleagues development.
Ensure effective communication across shifts and departments.
· Quality and compliance
ensure products meet quality standards through adherence to SOPs, quality checks and corrective actions.
Collaborate with the quality team to address non-conformalities and improve processes
Maintain compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations.
· Continuous improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost effectivcies.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
Motivate teams to achieve high performance
Provides clear direction, set expectations and hold team members accountable.
Drives continuous improvement and ensure operational efficiency
Demonstrates strong attention to detail in managing processes and quality standards
Identify root causes of issues and improvement effective solutions.
Makes data driven decisions under pressure.
Responds positively to change and demonstrate flexibility in dynamic environments
Quickly adjusts priorities to meet evolving business needs
Builds strong relationships across department to support operational goals
Foster a team-oriented environment that values diverse perspectives.
Takes ownerships of responsibilities and follows through on commitments
Demonstrates integrity in behaviour in all actions.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and workflow optimisation
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with health, safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting
Strong management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in MS Office and other management systems
Experience in managing teams in a fast-paced environment
Proven track record of achieving production targets and driving operational improvements
Ability to interpret technical data and performance metrices to inform decisions.
