Team Leader, Production (1st Shift)

The Production Team Leader is responsible for learning and maintaining a qualified skill set on all jobs within their assigned area. It is the responsibility of the Team Leader to ensure all Team Members within assigned area are trained to Hyundai Mobis company standards and promoting safety within their team. Team Leader performs various tasks ensuring production processes run efficiently and effectively. This position must communicate with Team Members and Group Leader in assigned team as well as other areas to ensure goals and standards are met.

To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• →Promote Team Member understanding of company vision and goals
• →Create and maintain a positive morale, keeping the Team Members spirits enhanced
• →Ensure production Team Members have the proper tools and equipment to perform their jobs
• →Ensure that product defects are repaired, minimized and returned to proper location
• →Monitor product inventory and communicate with material handling
• →Assists Team Members to ensure the production line continues to move
• →Ensure that all production Team Members equipment and workstations are cleaned daily
• →Observe and provide coaching to Team Members in the workstation to ensure processes standards are being followed
• →Meet daily production goals through continuous improvement and teamwork
• →Provide solutions and alternative methods for resolving production issues
• →Consistently communicate to Team Members on expectations, performance and any changes
• →Provide and maintain necessary daily production data and reports
• →Seek opportunity-for-improvement in safety, quality, productivity, cost and delivery
• →Conduct or participate in team and safety meetings and promote safety within the workplace
• →All other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2 years’ experience manufacturing
• Previous Team Leader Experience
• Must meet expectations for attendance.
• Must be able to work overtime 

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflicts resolutions skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience leading a Team in a manufacturing environment

• Automotive experience

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Good verbal and written skills
• Must regularly be able to sit, stand, walk, talk, see and hear
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. [unless specified heavy]
• Must be able to climb, stoop, crouch, kneel, pull and reach as needed
• Frequently must use both hands and have adequate finger dexterity
• Must be able to identify multiple colors (wiring harness and connectors)
• Working hours consist of Monday – Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm, overtime/weekends as needed. Subject to change as needed.
