Disability Support Worker (DDSO1/1Q) – Colac

For over 70 years, Scope Aust has supported people with complex disabilities to empower them to live the life they choose, guided by the belief that everyone deserves to belong and thrive. As one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit disability service providers, we operate across Victoria and New South Wales, supporting over 5,600 people from 425+ locations.

We are seeking vibrant and dedicated individuals who have a passion for creating meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive.

About the Role

  • Provide warm, respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
  • Follow behaviour support strategies, routines, and safety procedures consistently
  • Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access
  • Use calm communication and effective de-escalation to manage behaviours of concern
  • Work confidently and independently while following structured support plans
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the wider team
  • Bring patience, reliability, and a calm, supportive approach to every shift
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight (active/sleepover).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Full Victorian driver’s licence
  • Certificate IV in Disability desirable.
  • Valid Australian working rights and international police check (if applicable).
  • Salary benefits and conditions based on the Disability Services Enterprise Agreement Victoria 2018-2022, with membership to HACSU (Health and Community Services Union)
