We’re currently on the lookout for an experienced Property Leasing Officer to join our Corporate Services Division, supporting our General Manager, Property & Assets. This role is pivotal in managing and optimising Scope’s property portfolio across Victoria.

The Property Leasing Officer is responsible for end-to-end leasing and licensing transaction management across properties owned or leased by Scope (Aust) Ltd. You’ll oversee existing leasehold agreements, negotiate new leases from both landlord and tenant perspectives, and provide expert advice on property tenure.

This role is central to ensuring our properties meet operational needs while supporting accessibility and inclusion for people with disability.

Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end property leasing activities, including new leases, renewals and exits
  • Negotiating favourable commercial outcomes with landlords, such as rent-free periods and fit-out contributions
  • Monitoring rent reviews, option renewals and lease expiries
  • Managing make-good obligations at lease end to minimise cost and risk
  • Maintaining accurate lease records, reporting and administration
  • Collaborating with internal teams, landlords, agents, legal advisors and government stakeholders
  • Supporting organisational growth by acting as a proactive and trusted property partner
  • Embedding ethical service delivery, risk management and safety across all property leasing activities

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Property Management, Real Estate or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in property management, leasing or real estate
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of leasehold management and leasing agreements
  • Knowledge of (or ability to quickly learn) accessibility and wheelchair-accessible building standards
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and manage complex matters
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work confidently in complex and ambiguous environments
  • A collaborative mindset with a genuine commitment to inclusion, safety and wellbeing
  • An interest in—or willingness to learn about—the disability services sector

  • A NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • A Working with Children Check
  • A current full Australian driver’s license and ability to travel across sites 1-2 a week the first month
  • Eligibility to work in Australia

Salary packaging up to $15,900 per year to increase your take-home pay
