This role supports operational goals through effective HR practices and ensures adherence to legal and organizational standards. You will act as a liaison between Area, Branch, Region, and shared service HR functions, fostering alignment across organizational levels.

This position plays a key role in supporting Area operations by driving HR compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration across multiple branches. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader who is comfortable in the field, skilled at coaching managers, and able to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day HR support.

  • →HR Management and Compliance:
Oversee HR policies and procedures within the Area, supporting the Area Vice President in achieving operational goals.
Monitor and ensure compliance with HR regulations, including FLSA and other labor statutes.
Audit HR practices at Branch offices, ensuring adherence to selection criteria, recruitment processes, and file maintenance.
Advise management on the interpretation of HR policies, laws, and performance management strategies.
  • →Recruitment and Retention:
Direct Area-level recruitment efforts to meet staffing and EEO/Affirmative Action goals, utilizing diverse sourcing strategies.
Supervise recruiting staff and provide guidance on retention efforts for Branch managers.
Ensure appropriate selection criteria and standards for hiring processes are maintained.
  • →Employee Relations and Counseling:
Analyze and resolve employee relations issues, guiding supervisors and managers on problem resolution.
Lead and document thorough workplace investigations (e.g., harassment, discrimination, policy violations) and recommend appropriate corrective and disciplinary actions, up to and including termination, with a strong focus on mitigating legal risk.
Partner with management and Legal/HR leadership to ensure disciplinary actions and terminations are handled consistently, fairly, and in a manner that reduces exposure to potential claims or lawsuits.
Represent the company in unemployment, wage/hour, and EEOC hearings within the Area.
  • →Benefits Administration and Payroll:
Administer employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with client contracts and company policies.
Participate in payroll administration and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • →Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze HR data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Prepare data and documentation for OFCCP audits, Affirmative Action Plans, and other HR reporting needs.
  • →Training and Communication:
Keep management and employees informed of new HR regulations and company policies.
Coach and mentor HR personnel, providing training and support for career growth and effective HR program implementation.
  • →Perform additional duties as assigned.

An ideal candidate brings:

  • A service-first mindset, clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, and sound judgment when approaching challenges. You are solutions-focused and thrive in both independent and team settings, with the ability to influence and coach leaders across multiple locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement (one year of experience for one academic year).

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and compliance (including FLSA, EEO, and Affirmative Action).
  • Experience with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR data/reporting.
  • Ability to analyze HR metrics and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Effective coaching, counseling, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across an Area.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Extensive experience conducting complex employee relations investigations and managing disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risk and make recommendations that help prevent or defend against potential legal claims.
  • Prior HR experience in a multi-site or field-based environment.
  • Experience in employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with OFCCP audits and Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on Area operations by strengthening HR practices, compliance, and employee engagement.
  • Regular exposure to Area and Regional leadership, branch management, and key operational stakeholders.
  • Clear opportunities for career growth and advancement within Securitas’ HR and operational leadership structure.
  • Collaborative team culture with strong leadership support and access to shared service HR resources.
  • Chance to work on unique HR challenges in a dynamic, 24/7 service environment, supporting a diverse workforce and client base.
  • Be part of a company that is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and that believes HR is central to long-term success.
