We are currently seeking a full-time Security Officer in Amsterdam, NY. This position is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, covering both 2nd and 3rd shifts. The hours are 3:00 PM–11:00 PM on Tuesdays and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM Wednesday through Friday, totaling 32 hours per week. The pay rate is $17.75 per hour. Reliable transportation is required, as public transit schedules may not accommodate these work hours. What You’ll Do • Control access to the warehouse, allowing trailer trucks in and out of the facility. • Log transactions of incoming and outgoing vehicles via handwritten paperwork. • Ensure that all security protocols are followed during the entry and exit process. • Sit in the main office, allowing authorized personnel to enter the building. • Monitor CCTV cameras and maintain a secure environment. • Maintain a visitor log and ensure all visitors are properly signed in and out. • Ensure the security of the premises by following proper access control procedures. • Write clear and concise reports on activities and incidents. • Communicate with warehouse and office staff to ensure smooth operations. • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff. What We’re Looking For • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork. • Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle difficult situations. • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. • Prior security experience is preferred, but not required.
