Intern Software Engineer - Summer 2026/2027

This is a paid 12-week Summer Internship Programme, starting on 1 December 2026 to 19 February 2027. You will be working with cross-functional teams to design intuitive, innovative and well-crafted user experiences for business travellers. Serko as a Kiwi technology company is committed to giving back to the tech community. You will work alongside industry professionals and be supported by experienced mentors & business leaders.

• →Assist in the design, development and testing of software applications.
• →Collaborate with engineers and other team members to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• →Write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
• →Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• →Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
• →Contribute to the development of technical documentation.
• →Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
• →Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

• A strong passion for learning and a desire to grow as a software engineer.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
• Open to receiving constructive feedback in a safe and inclusive work environment.
• Currently enrolled and in final year studying in an Engineering program (e.g., software engineering, computer science) or a related field.
• Some particular technical skills we are looking for:

1. Must have: HTML/ CSS, JavaScript.
2. Good to have: React, Typescript or Bash experience;
