Responsibilities
~1 min read- → Maintain grounds of range and training area property such as ranges, target berms, target frames, and training area structures.
- → Repair structures and equipment including fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings.
- →Cut grass using walking-type or riding mowers (less than 2000 lbs.).
- →Trim hedges and edges around roadways, ranges, signage, and training areas using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
- →Use shears and other hand tools for vegetation control.
- →Spray vegetation with fertilizer or insecticide.
- →Plant grass and perform reseeding as required to prevent erosion.
- →Pick up and cart away leaves, paper, or other litter.
- →Remove debris from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots using shovels.
- →Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment.
- →Clean offices, workshop areas, and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping, and polishing.
- →Responsible for policing and removal of brass casings on aviation firing pads.
- U.S. citizenship
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance or related field
- Basic technical knowledge of grounds maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to operate gas-powered equipment such as string trimmers, blowers, and mowers
- Familiarity with safety regulations and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain Tier 1 security investigation
- Lift and carry items over 35 pounds
- Operate heavy and power equipment safely
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Perform repetitive physical tasks such as mowing, trimming, and manual labor
