• Greet Veterans and visitors courteously and provide service explanation

• Issue claim checks, secure vehicle keys, and track vehicles

• Safely park and retrieve vehicles within performance standards

• Maintain continuous monitoring of parking booth; never leave unattended

• Operate shuttle carts continuously during business hours

• Transport Veterans between parking areas and facility entrances

• Follow designated shuttle routes and safety procedures

• Assist with managing traffic flow during peak times

• Conduct basic vehicle inspections and document vehicle condition

• Deliver and retrieve wheelchairs upon request (non-clinical assistance only)

• Report incidents, damages, or lost keys per required timelines

• Maintain logs and support end-of-day key control processes

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• License: Valid North Carolina driver’s license

• Experience: Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely

• Experience: Customer service experience

• High School diploma or equivalent

• U.S. citizen

• Valid driver’s license (North Carolina)

• Completion of VA orientation and training prior to start

• Customer service training (communication, professionalism, safety)

• Compliance with VA identity verification and credentialing requirements

• Must adhere to “No Tipping” policy

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while operating shuttle carts

• Ability to drive various vehicle types safely

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to lift and move equipment (e.g., cones, wheelchairs)

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
