Responsibilities
~1 min read• Assist Weapons Officer and LCPO in daily operations of the Weapons Department (Armory, Ordnance, and VAS divisions)
• Receive, issue, and store materiel, parts, and repair components
• Perform inventory verification against shipping documentation (National Stock Number (NSN), quantity, cost, etc.)
• Prepare materials for shipment ensuring proper handling and damage prevention
• Maintain and track inventory using automated inventory management systems
• Monitor minimum inventory levels and recommend adjustments
• Utilize logistics systems including:
o Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) Relational Supply (R-Supply)
o SWIFT (BizFlow), NAVSUP OneTouch, Government Distribution and Accounting Property List (GDAPL), and Federal Logistics Data (FEDLOG)
• Identify and process excess property redistribution or disposal (Supply Support Activity (SSA) / Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO))
• Support inventory audits and compliance inspections
• Experience: Experience with logistics or inventory management systems
• Experience: Installation-level or strategic logistics support programs
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory/accountability tasks
• Skills: Military-style correspondence
• Clearance: Secret
• U.S. citizen
• Driver’s License required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to operate Government vehicles, forklifts, and vans
• Must maintain professional work ethic and reliability
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills
• Must maintain accurate documentation and reporting
• Must comply with security, safety, and drug-free workplace requirements
• Must be capable of working within classified environments and systems (NIPRNET/SIPRNET)
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials
• Capability to stand, walk, and work in warehouse/armory environments for extended periods
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
