About The Role:

As an Entry-Level Mechanic, you will support the maintenance and upkeep of S&ME's fleet vehicles, equipment, and shop operations. Working alongside an experienced mechanic, you will assist with preventative maintenance activities, basic repairs, equipment inspections, and shop organization to help keep vehicles and equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on mechanical experience while learning industry best practices in a collaborative environment.

• Assist with routine maintenance and basic repairs on company vehicles, equipment, and small engines.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, filter replacements, lubrication, and equipment inspections.
• Support daily equipment and vehicle readiness by helping identify maintenance needs and reporting issues to the shop mechanic.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, including tool and inventory organization.
• Help prepare equipment and vehicles for field operations and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Follow company safety procedures and report equipment concerns or maintenance needs promptly.

About You:

• You have a High School diploma or GED
• You have an interest in vehicles, equipment, or mechanical maintenance and a desire to learn
• You have effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
• You have a valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• You can safely operate a company-assigned vehicle, including trucks and SUVs
• You are willing to complete a background check, driving record check, and drug screen upon offer of employment
