About the Position:

The Recruiting & HR Coordinator will play a key role in driving recruitment activity across the SOLV4EX Group of Companies, with primary responsibility for coordinating and supporting the full candidate journey from job posting through to offer and onboarding handoff.

 

This role is ideal for an early-career HR or recruiting professional who is highly organized, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to take ownership of recruitment processes. The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, manage candidate pipelines, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and help ensure a positive and efficient hiring experience.

 

While the position will include some HR administration and coordination, the main focus is recruitment execution. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build strong recruiting experience, contribute ideas, improve hiring processes, and grow into a role where they can confidently manage recruiting activity with increasing independence.

 

As a SOLV4EX team member, a typical week will include the following:

  • Partnering with hiring managers across Canadian Energy, SOLV4EX, and Discover Energy Systems to understand hiring needs and recruitment priorities.
  • Reviewing and screening resumes to identify candidates who meet role requirements.
  • Conducting initial phone screens to assess candidate fit, interest, availability, and basic qualifications.
  • Managing candidate pipelines and ensuring applicants move through each stage of the recruitment process in a timely manner.
  • Updating the applicant tracking system with accurate candidate information, notes, and recruitment progress.
  • Communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process to provide updates and maintain a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinating interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Supporting job postings, sourcing efforts, and active recruitment outreach.
  • Using recruitment tools and channels, including Indeed Smart Sourcing, to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • Reviewing recruitment data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Coordinating onboarding logistics and handoffs for new hires once recruitment steps are complete.
  • Supporting basic HR administration when needed, including employee documentation, records, and general HR coordination.



The Location: This position is located at the SOLV4EX Head Office in Calgary, AB. Candidates must be located in Calgary.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, accounting, or administrative support. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience routinely interacting with customers or clients.
  • Ability to converse and build professional rapport with various stakeholders.
  • Confident to provide clear, concise updates on recruitment activity, including progress, challenges, and next steps when communicating with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable working with online systems and data entry.
  • Knowledge of basic excel formulas and pivot tables- ability to use AI to supplement foundational excel knowledge.
  • Interest in strategic innovation- ability to communicate creative ideas, develop structured implementation plans, adhere to plans and adapt progress.
