OtherCorporate Development

We are a boutique advisory firm specializing in the acquisition and sale of dental practices across Canada. We work directly with practice owners navigating one of the most significant transactions of their professional lives — helping them understand the value of what they've built, identify the right buyers, and close transactions with confidence.

Our team operates at the intersection of healthcare, entrepreneurship, and M&A. We move quickly, communicate clearly, and take pride in being trusted advisors to the dentists we serve.

About the Role

~1 min read

We are growing our advisory team and looking for a Corporate Development & M&A Associate to support the full transaction lifecycle — from first contact with a practice owner through to deal close.

This role exists because our pipeline is expanding and we need someone who can manage inbound leads, build financial analyses, prepare buyer materials, and keep transactions moving. You will work directly with dental practice owners considering a sale, meaning strong financial instincts and genuine relationship skills are both required.

This is not a back-office role. You will be client-facing from day one.

The ideal background sits somewhere at the intersection of financial analysis, business advisory, and client relationship management. Experience in dental or healthcare practice management is a meaningful advantage, but a sharp financial mind with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn the industry is equally compelling.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Respond to inbound inquiries from dentists interested in selling their practice
  • Conduct discovery calls and guide practice owners through our advisory process
  • Host virtual information sessions for prospective clients
  • Manage pipeline activity and follow-up consistently
  • Support the process of securing signed client mandates
  • Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken
  • Strong financial analysis skills — comfortable reading and interpreting financial statements
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, financial analysis, valuation, or M&A
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Clear, confident communicator — able to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences
  • Proficient with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) and comfortable integrating them into daily workflows
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and project management habits

  • Experience in healthcare, dentistry, medical practices, or professional services
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and business valuation methodologies
  • Experience working directly with entrepreneurs or owner-operated businesses
  • Exposure to M&A transaction processes, even in a junior or supporting capacity

  • Analyze financial statements and reports from dental practice management software
  • Build valuation models and financial summaries for each engagement
  • Identify key performance indicators and value drivers specific to dental practices
  • Prepare practice valuations and supporting buyer materials
  • Present financial findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and prospective buyers
  • Prepare Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and buyer presentations
  • Coordinate due diligence requests and maintain organized data rooms
  • Track transaction progress and manage deal timelines
  • Support negotiation and closing activities
  • Publish practice listings across relevant channels and industry platforms
  • Promote opportunities through dental professional communities, LinkedIn, alumni networks, and sector-specific platforms
  • Maintain and grow a database of qualified buyers
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective purchasers over time

You are analytically sharp and can build a clean financial model, but you are equally comfortable on a call with a nervous practice owner who has never sold a business before. You understand that numbers tell a story, and you know how to tell it clearly.

You are bilingual, organized, and self-directed. You do not need to be walked through a process twice. You follow up without being asked, you flag problems early, and you take ownership of your workload.

You may be coming from a financial analysis, accounting, business advisory, dental administration, or healthcare operations background. What matters more than the title is whether you can quickly understand a business, communicate its value, and help a transaction cross the finish line.

In the first 90 days, you are independently managing inbound inquiries, producing clean valuation analyses, and keeping active transactions organized and moving. Within six months, practice owners are asking for you by name.
