Position: Mechanical/Electrical Engineer - Solar Farm Design Philippines
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
Working Hours:8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST (Mountain Standard Time) (11:00 PM – 8:00 AM PHT)
Salary Range : $2.000 - $2.400

We are seeking a talented Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to enhance our team, working remotely to align with North American time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Project Takeoffs & Quotations:
Perform detailed takeoffs and develop quotes for large-scale solar farm projects, accurately interpreting project specifications and requirements.
Technical Proposal Development:
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams to integrate technical details into compelling, accurate deliverables.
Bill of Materials (BOM) and Procurement Insight:
Perform takeoffs and quotes, involving creating or reviewing a Bill of Materials (BOM).
Software Utilization:
Autodesk Tools:
Work closely with project managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to gather all necessary data and maintain project alignment throughout the design and proposal process.
Documentation & Presentation:
Present findings, reports, and proposals to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and technical rigor.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (preferably with a focus on renewable energy or solar technology).
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of large-scale solar farm design, installation, and system components.
Detail-Oriented & Organized:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Communication & Presentation Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in client-facing or cross-functional roles.
Work Authorization & Schedule:
Must be able to work fully remotely in the Philippines, following an 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM PHT schedule to align with North American operations.
Travel:
No Travel for this role.

Review detailed solar drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness, conduct installation report calculations (e.g., tension, sag), and verify that solutions align with project goals and specifications. - Microsoft Office Suite: Create and maintain professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Work closely with project managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to gather all necessary data and maintain project alignment throughout the design and proposal process.

Requirements
