We are expanding our team with a highly capable Investment Director who will play a central role in managing and evaluating our deal flow, including constant engagement with independent sponsors. This is an opportunity to join a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial platform with immediate responsibility and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Execution & Diligence
    • Lead due diligence on active transactions (financial, commercial, operational).
    • Lead weekly pipeline meeting with senior partners.
    • Lead junior deal team members.
    • Present strong investment opportunities to the investment committee. 
    • Build and refine financial models, market analyses, and investment memos.
    • Take calls with independent sponsors for relationship-building and deal evaluation. 
    • Screen new deal opportunities and vet independent sponsors.
 
  • Governance and Investor Reporting
    • Quarterly monitoring of portfolio’s performance. 
    • Draft clear, professional updates for LPs.
    • Draft detailed briefings for each committed deal.
       
  • Operations & Technology
    • Help manage Minds Capital’s operations and workflows.
    • Analyze CRM and pipeline data to improve sourcing and decision-making.
    • Develop and refine processes across diligence and reporting.
    • Leverage AI tools and automation to experiment with and implement workflow improvements and efficiency gains.
    • Improve our process to the point where deals go to the Investment Committee within 48 hours.
       
  • Leadership & Initiative
    • Manage projects across multiple stakeholders.
    • Identify gaps in how we operate and propose/implement solutions.
    • Represent Minds Capital professionally with independent sponsors, LPs, and advisors.

 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in US Private Equity; Senior-level experience with the ability to engage, converse, and build strong relationships with private equity executives.
  • Strong analytical toolkit: financial modeling, market research, data analysis.
  • Comfort experimenting with AI tools and automation to improve processes and explore more efficient ways of working is highly desirable
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mature interpersonal capabilities; confident with senior executives and investors.
  • Tech-savvy; comfortable experimenting with code, automation, and digital tools.
  • High initiative and entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in lean environments.
