Location: Remote (Partial overlap with US Pacific Time; 6 hour overlap preferred)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM PST (flexible start for PT overlap possible)

The team is moving toward a fully remote workforce and values accuracy, accountability, integrity, and collaboration. This role is key to ensuring strong financial management and operational efficiency. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong communication and organizational skills.
We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant with hands-on Yardi Voyager expertise to manage accounting functions for multiple properties and legal entities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly autonomous, and capable of partially overlapping with US Pacific Time hours. This role includes collaboration with both local and international team members.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage all accounting functions for assigned properties and projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, sub-contractor payments, and vendor management.
- →Process invoices and payments accurately and within timelines.
- →Maintain compliance documentation and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- →Generate property accounting reports including bank reconciliations, P&L review with variance analysis, and a comprehensive monthly close schedule to reconcile all balance sheet accounts. .
- →Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax documentation, including property tax assessments, sales tax filings, and other relevant tax forms.
- →Communication: Collaborating with property managers, outside support teams, owners, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that financial information is accurate and up to date.
- →Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing accounts payable involves processing invoices and making payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers
- →Handling accounts receivable involves tracking rent payments and ensuring timely collection
- →Troubleshoot tenant ledger, deposit, and GPR issues and perform corrections where needed.
- →Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of property accounting experience.
- Yardi Voyager expertise required; must be able to operate independently.
- Experience managing multiple properties (15+) .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and accounting software.
- Knowledge of financial reporting requirements in real estate/property management.
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Competent in A/P, A/R, vendor payments, ledger corrections, and journal entries.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Team-oriented and collaborative with remote and international colleagues.
- Ability to safeguard confidential company information.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fully remote environment, has hands-on property accounting experience, and can navigate multiple systems efficiently. They are comfortable working US PT overlap hours and enjoy collaborating with remote teams.
This position is critical to ensuring accurate property accounting, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance across multiple properties. The Property Accountant will directly contribute to operational efficiency and financial accuracy for the team.
