Role: Software Engineer

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am- 5:00pm US Pacific Time

About the Company:
A startup founded by Stanford graduate students to accelerate the interconnection of new generation and large loads to the US grid. We are building a platform that shows developers how different interconnection queue scenarios affect their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Python-based automation on top of power systems engineering software APIs
• Develop workflows to run and manage large volumes of study scenarios efficiently
• Create a simple internal UI for the team to interact with study tools and results
• Support the development of a cleaner, more customer-facing interface if needed
• Build tools that help analyze study outputs and assist with network upgrade hypotheses
• Explore and implement agentic / LLM-based copilot workflows to assist with study review and decision-making
• Work closely with the power systems engineer to translate domain logic into software
• Improve internal engineering workflows through automation, tooling, and process optimization
• Help design scalable systems that can support both internal operations and future client-facing needs

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience building automation around APIs and internal tools
• Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Python APIs for engineering/technical software
• Experience building internal web tools / simple internal UIs
• Comfortable working on production-quality workflows and scalable automation
• Interest in building agentic / LLM-based copilots is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with a domain expert
• Able to collaborate on technical workflows in a startup environment
