Pre-Sales Response Engineer – RFP Team

About the Role
~5 min readAssist with the preparation, coordination, formatting, review, and maintenance of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, security questionnaires, tenders, proposals, and related customer response documents.
Use approved content, templates, response libraries, and knowledge sources to support accurate, complete, consistent, and submission-ready responses.
Coordinate with Sales Engineers, Sales teams, and internal subject matter experts to clarify requirements, gather information, resolve open questions, and track dependencies.
Identify missing, outdated, duplicate, or inconsistent content and escalate gaps, risks, or unusual requests to the appropriate owner for review.
Maintain SharePoint repositories, response libraries, templates, completed submissions, reusable content, and supporting documentation in line with naming, classification, and governance standards.
Support AI-enabled knowledge tools by assisting with content preparation, tagging, validation, testing, and quality review of retrieved or generated responses.
Track assigned requests, deadlines, owners, status updates, and completion evidence using approved operational tools and team processes.
Contribute to reporting, process documentation, knowledge transfer, training materials, and continuous improvement activities that improve response quality and team efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education, certification, or work experience.
Up to two years of relevant experience preferred, including exposure to proposal support, sales operations, customer response management, cybersecurity, enterprise software, knowledge management, or technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to write clearly, organize information, and adapt content for customer-facing use.
Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder inputs.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
Comfort working with structured content, templates, repositories, collaboration platforms, and AI-enabled productivity or knowledge tools.
Interest in cybersecurity, technical content, proposal operations, sales enablement, knowledge management, process improvement, or customer-facing technical communication.
Familiarity with RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, security questionnaires, cybersecurity concepts, enterprise software, or knowledge management platforms is an asset
In this role, success means becoming a trusted support partner to the Sales Engineering team by producing high-quality response content, keeping knowledge sources organised and current, following established processes, and communicating clearly when questions, risks, or dependencies arise. Over time, you will build product, process, and platform knowledge while contributing to a more scalable and consistent customer response experience.
