Facilities Technical Assistant (Carpentry)

To provide skilled in-house maintenance support, assisting the Facilities Engineer (Civil) in ensuring civil structures are maintained in optimal functional condition. Key responsibilities will include: Assist the Carpentry Officer with layout modifications (i.e. partitioning, Installation of timber/ aluminium/ glass door & window frames, Ceilings, sashes & accessories etc.) Support the Carpentry Officer in repairing furniture to ensure smooth office operations. Assist the Carpentry Officer with construction, modification, and repair of ceilings. Assist the Carpentry Officer with the construction of counters, carpeting, vinyl floor tiling, and wallpaper/fabric installation, etc. Maximize the usage of power tools for carpentry and other fabrication work, and maintenance of these tools for extended longevity. Requirements Sat for O/L and relevant course equivalent to NVQ level 3 for which the duration of course to be 6 months in the relevant field(Carpentry) with 2 years relevant working experience (Carpentry). OR Sat for O/L and the candidate who does not fulfill the NVQ requirement should complete the relevant NVQ level 3 within 02 years of the contract period and 2 years relevant work experience (Carpentry). Note: Trainee and internship experience will not be considered as work experience. Age to be not more than 45 years as at 21st May 2026 which is the closing date. Be a SriLankan Citizen.
