As our Funding & Grant Manager, you will play a key role in securing the funding that drives STABL's innovation and growth. Your primary responsibility will be identifying new public funding opportunities, developing compelling grant applications, and managing funded projects throughout their lifecycle.
Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and external funding bodies, you'll help transform innovative ideas into successful, funded projects while ensuring compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.
Additionally, you'll provide administrative support for our intellectual property portfolio by helping maintain patent documentation and monitoring relevant developments as those will be the basis for grant applications.

  • Lead the preparation and writing of grant proposals from concept to submission.
  • Coordinate contributions from Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and leadership to ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Manage submission timelines and application requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate regional, national, and European funding programs that align with STABL's technology roadmap and strategic objectives.
  • Proactively monitor upcoming funding calls and assess their relevance for the business.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify suitable projects and innovation initiatives for funding.
  • Own the administrative and operational management of funded projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and reporting deadlines.
  • Lead communication with funding agencies and external partners.
  • Prepare project documentation and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Support financial reporting, including personnel costs, time tracking, inventory, travel expenses, subcontracting, and other eligible project costs.
  • Maintain internal documentation and continuously improve grant management processes.
  • Provide administrative support for STABL's patent & IP portfolio.
  • Organize and maintain patent documentation, application status, and deadlines overview.
  • Review patent monitoring alerts and identify potentially relevant developments for internal review.
  • Coordinate documentation with external patent attorneys and support new patent applications when required.
  • Experience in grant management, public funding, innovation funding, or R&D project management.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and writing successful grant applications.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to present technical topics in a clear and persuasive way.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
  • A structured, proactive, and detail-oriented way of working.
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with German and/or European funding programs (e.g. BMWK, BMBF, Horizon Europe, EIC, Eurostars).
  • Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for publicly funded projects.
  • Experience working in a deep-tech, engineering, energy, or hardware environment.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property or patent administration.
