As a Technical Product Owner, you will lead a squad of engineers, owning your product area end to end, from roadmap strategy to shipped features. That means you'll be the person who talks to clients and end-users, to internal sales and success team, digs into usage data, and translates what you learn into a clear, prioritized backlog. You'll write user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers can actually build from. You'll make the hard calls on what to build next, balancing new capabilities, technical debt, and bug fixes based on real customer impact. You'll also be deeply involved in the technical side: understanding system constraints, discussing architecture trade-offs with your developers, and working with designers to make sure what's feasible is also what's right for users. This is a role for someone who wants to own outcomes, not just manage a backlog.
  • 4+ years of product ownership (or a similar product role) in a software development environment. You've shipped features, managed trade-offs, and worked closely with engineering teams.
  • A technical foundation. Whether through a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or through hands-on experience — you understand how software systems work and can hold your own in technical discussions.
  • Strong analytical skills. You make decisions with data: feature feasibility, prioritization, success measurement. You validate assumptions before committing your team's time.
  • Excellent prioritization instincts. You know how to sequence work across new features, tech debt, and bugs in a way that maximizes customer value.
  • You're curious and proactive, you dig into technical systems, ask "why" often, and don't wait to be told what to explore.
  • You collaborate naturally with engineers on architecture, designers on feasibility, and stakeholders on strategy. No silos.
  • You lead with empathy. You care about the people on your team as much as the product you're building together.
  • You communicate clearly in English, our working language.
  • Experience building AI-powered features, payment systems, analytics dashboards, or website/page builders.
  • Familiarity with the events industry or marketplace platforms.
  • Own something real. You'll lead your own squad and have genuine autonomy over your product area, not just execute someone else's roadmap.
  • Work on problems that matter. Swapcard powers events for some of the world's largest organizers. What you build will be used by thousands of people, often in real time, on-site.
  • Global and flexible. We're a remote-friendly, international team. Work from home or from coworking spaces (via our partnership network), whatever helps you do your best work.
  • A culture that's actually human. We value ownership, collaboration, and treating people well. That's not a poster on a wall, it's how we hire, give feedback, and make decisions.
