Role Profile Seeking a highly motivated, technically skilled, and hands-on Cyber Security Solutions Specialist to protect our organization's digital landscape by designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced security solutions. Primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the network, systems, and application security solutions. A core part of this role is bridging the gap between technical security requirements and business objectives, ensuring that cybersecurity strategies not only protect the enterprise but also enable innovation and growth. An in-depth technical understanding of various security domains and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The objective of the role is to directly contribute to our ability to innovate securely, helping us stay ahead of evolving threats and maintain a strong, resilient security posture. Key Responsibilities •Expertise in architecting and managing enterprise security technologies across networks, systems, and applications, including secure configuration and deployment practices. •Proven ability to embed security controls throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks. •Advanced skills in risk assessment and threat modelling, with a focus on identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating emerging threats, and guiding mitigation strategies. •Strong proficiency in security monitoring and compliance, leveraging tools to assess control effectiveness, respond to incidents, and support audit and documentation efforts. •Architect, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions across network, system, and application layers to ensure scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance. •Conduct in-depth security assessments and design reviews, embedding controls early in the development lifecycle and aligning with business and technical requirements. •Lead threat modeling, risk analysis, and vulnerability scanning efforts, translating findings into actionable mitigation strategies across diverse environments. •Establish and enforce secure coding standards and architectural best practices, driving system integrity and reducing exposure to threats. •Oversee incident response activities, including forensic investigations, containment, and recovery, while continuously improving response protocols. •Monitor threat intelligence and adapt defenses proactively, ensuring the organization remains resilient against emerging attack vectors. •Drive compliance initiatives, maintain documentation, support audits, and ensure alignment with internal policies and external frameworks. •Champion automation and scripting in security operations, enhancing detection, response, and operational efficiency across the security landscape. Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience •Architects secure systems and infrastructure using defense-in-depth and zero trust principles, translating business and technical requirements into scalable security solutions. •Demonstrate advanced expertise in network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and NAC, with strong capabilities in traffic analysis and threat detection. •Secures operating systems and virtual environments through endpoint protection, patch management, system hardening, and secure configuration practices. •Apply deep knowledge of application security, integrating secure coding, OWASP Top 10 principles, SAST/DAST tools, and WAFs into the software development lifecycle. •Conducts threat modeling and risk assessments, effectively communicating technical risks in business terms to guide strategic decision-making. •Leads security integration across project lifecycles, embedding controls into design reviews and championing security as a core element of SDLC. •Manages complex security initiatives, overseeing planning, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver timely and effective solutions. •Communicates technical concepts with clarity and influence, building consensus across diverse stakeholders and driving adoption of security best practices. Must have Technical / Professional Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in cyber or information security, computer science, information technology (or systems) or other related fields. •5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or related field in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on hands-on technical security work. •Any of the certifications below will be desired. oCISSP, CISM, CCSP, CSSLP, GCCC & CCNP Security •Advanced understanding of core security principles, including the CIA triad, threat modeling, access control models, least privilege, non-repudiation, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework. •Strong familiarity with global standards and regulations and their application to technical security controls. •Expertise in securing infrastructure and networks, including TCP/IP protocols, network segmentation, operating systems, and virtualized environments. •Proficient in application and cloud security, with hands-on experience in SSDLC practices, secure coding, SAST/DAST tools, , and cloud-native protection across cloud environments. •Solid grasp of cryptographic techniques, including encryption, hashing, PKI, and digital signatures for securing sensitive data in transit and at rest. •Well-versed in threat intelligence and incident response, capable of analyzing attack vectors, conducting forensic investigations, and executing response plans. •Skilled in automation and data analysis, using scripting languages and SIEM platforms to streamline operations, generate metrics, and support decision-making. •Effective communicator and strategic thinker, able to translate complex security concepts into business language, influence stakeholders, and adapt to evolving threats and technologies.
