Revenue Assurance Manager- Telecel Cash

Role Purpose To lead and strengthen Revenue Assurance and Fraud Risk Management across Telecel Cash by ensuring the completeness, accuracy, integrity, protection, and timely reporting of all revenue streams. The role is responsible for implementing robust controls, identifying and mitigating revenue leakages and fraud risks, enhancing operational processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leveraging analytics to safeguard revenue, optimize profitability, and protect the financial interests of the business and its customers. Key Responsibilities •Manage end-to-end Revenue Assurance activities across Mobile Money, Merchant Payments, Agent Services, International Money Transfer, Savings, Lending, Insurance, and other Digital Financial Services products. •Design, implement, and continuously improve Revenue Assurance controls across the revenue lifecycle. •Manage reconciliations between transaction platforms, settlement systems, general ledger, banks, merchants, agents, aggregators, and external partners. •Monitor revenue streams and identify revenue leakages, anomalies, process weaknesses, and control gaps. •Lead the investigation, quantification, recovery, and resolution of revenue leakages and process failures. •Develop and maintain fraud risk management frameworks, including fraud prevention, detection, investigation, reporting, and remediation. •Conduct assurance reviews of products, tariff configurations, campaigns, system changes, and partner integrations to ensure revenue and fraud risks are adequately managed. •Develop automated monitoring tools, dashboards, and analytics for Revenue Assurance and Fraud Risk KPIs. •Ensure accurate revenue recognition, settlement integrity, and compliance with applicable accounting, regulatory, and internal governance requirements. •Support internal audits, external audits, regulatory inspections, and risk management reviews. •Manage assurance over partner, merchant, agent, bank, and third-party revenue-sharing and settlement arrangements. •Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen controls and reduce revenue leakage risks. •Prepare and present Revenue Assurance and Fraud Risk reports to Executive Management and relevant governance committees. •Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Commercial, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to resolve identified issues and strengthen controls. Must have Technical / Professional Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline. •Finance, Auditing, Revenue Assurance or related assurance work experience - Must have 7 years’ relevant experience and preferably 2-3yrs experience in a similar role •Proven experience in Mobile Money, FinTech, Banking, Telecommunications, Payments, or Digital Financial Services. •Very good understanding of telecom products and services as well as automated test calling •Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills •Experience in the use of data analytic tools and/or revenue assurance tools •Familiarity with billing systems, rating engines, mediation systems, and other revenue-related software and tools
