Job Title: Intern
Location: DP World Head Office, Jafza 17
Start Date: 29/June/2026
End Date: 21/August/2026
About the Role:
This internship is part of a global initiative led by the Operations team to standardize terminal processes and enable successful Zodiac system implementations across DP World terminals.
The project focuses on developing a Global Process Repository that defines best-case operational workflows across different terminal types (RTG, RMG, ASC, etc.) and aligning Business Units (BUs) to this standard by identifying and managing process variances.
Interns will work at the intersection of process design and system functionality, ensuring that Zodiac system capabilities are accurately mapped to operational workflows through clearly defined trigger points.
This role provides exposure to:
Global port and terminal operations
Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies
Enterprise system implementation (Zodiac)
Cross-terminal standardization and governance
Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
Review Zodiac system functionalities and map them to operational process steps
Identify and define system trigger points within process flows to support accurate system-process alignment
Support the development and structuring of the Global Process Repository, ensuring consistency with defined hierarchy and standards
Participate in workshops/discussions to understand BU-specific process variances
Contribute to documentation aligned with BPM standards and Center of Excellence (CoE) governance requirements
Complete required training, including Zodiacademia and ITO certification
Intern-Specific Responsibilities
Computer Science
Evaluate Zodiac data structures and identify high-value data points for process mining, traceability, and performance analysis
Structure and organize process-related data and repository logic
Support definition of data flows, system interactions, and trigger logic
Assist in building scalable and structured repository frameworks (e.g., hierarchy, tagging, traceability)
Explore opportunities to enhance process intelligence through data structuring and potential automation
Industrial Engineering
Lead the refinement and structuring of end-to-end process maps
Ensure completeness of process elements (flows, decision points, dependencies, roles)
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or missing steps in existing BU process maps
Support standardization by aligning terminal processes to the global best-case model
Work closely with stakeholders to validate process logic and operational accuracy
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the internship, interns are expected to:
Contribute to a structured and standardized global process repository
Deliver process maps with clearly defined Zodiac trigger points
Support alignment between system functionality and operational workflows
Provide inputs toward reducing process variability across terminals
Preferred Education & Experience
Computer Science – Data Architecture
Industrial Engineering – Business Process Mapping
