About the Role
~1 min readDP World is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting and tax team, helping keep our financial, statutory, and tax reporting accurate, timely, and fully compliant. You will play a key role in tax compliance, reconciliations, reporting schedules, and the discipline of month-end and year-end close.
You will work closely with Finance, Tax, internal teams, and external advisors, helping us hit our reporting deadlines, strengthen our controls, and find better ways of doing things across the region.
- Prepare tax and audit schedules, provisions, deferred tax calculations, and disclosures for half-year and year-end reporting
- Support Group compliance with Australian tax law, including entity and consolidated tax returns, workpapers, and advisor support
- Manage monthly PAYG and BAS reporting (GST, fuel excise, FBT) across group companies, ensuring timely ATO lodgement
- Maintain transfer pricing documentation in line with group and local requirements
- Support tax governance, internal controls, audits, and risk identification
- Assist with annual budget and quarterly forecast preparation
- Guide junior team members and promote consistent accounting and tax practices
- Drive process improvements, reconciliation reviews, and support for internal/external audits and ad hoc tasks
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree in Accounting or Taxation, with a professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA)
- 5–7 years' post-qualification experience in accounting, tax, or corporate finance
- Experience preparing financial and tax reporting schedules, reconciliations, and compliance workpapers
- Exposure to transfer pricing, GST, FBT, PAYG, and corporate income tax
- Experience in an in-house finance or corporate tax environment (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reconciliations, taxation, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Sound understanding of Australian tax legislation and corporate tax compliance processes
- Comfortable working to constant and demanding deadlines
- A proven self-starter with strong initiative
- High ethical standards, with the ability to handle highly confidential information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems and tax reporting tools
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
