Shipping & Receiving Lead - Plainwell Area

• →Oversee and execute daily shipping and receiving operations, including material handling and documentation.
• →Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• →Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• →Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics to optimize material flow and meet operational deadlines.
• →Operate and maintain various material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safe operation.
• →Implement and maintain efficient shipping and receiving processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
• →Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs documentation.

• 3-5 years experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including training and guiding team members.
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and shipping software.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse safety protocols.

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) in a warehouse setting.
• Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
• Proficiency with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior shipping/receiving personnel.
• Experience with international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
