Basic Qualifications: This section is reserved for the “must have” requirements of the job and are usually visible in the resume. These qualifications must be met for a candidate to be considered. Examples of basic qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience(ex: 5+ years)
  • Any specific technology needed for the position ( ex: SAP, Excel)
  • Professional certifications (ex: CPA)

Preferred Qualifications: Everything else–general soft skills, preferred skills, etc.

Recommend no more than 5-7 bullets for all BQs + PQS.

For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
