Senior Frontend Engineer, Blipay

Blipay is Tilt's Brazilian business unit. In Brazil, credit is still decided by a score that summarizes someone's past and ignores their present. We do it differently — using Open Finance and real-time financial signals, we look at people's actual financial lives and say yes to people the traditional market writes off too quickly. Over 1 million customers. Salary advance, FGTS, consignado. Products that put money in people's hands when they need it.

You'll build both sides of what our customers touch: the mobile app in React Native and our web surfaces in React and TypeScript. The codebase is consolidated, built on clean architecture and clear separation of concerns — and we're actively adding new products on top of it. That's the interesting part of this role: you're not maintaining something finished, you're extending a foundation that has to keep holding up as more lands on it. We're looking for someone who thinks about software scalability, not just screens.

You'll work close to the product — no intermediary layer between you and the problem. You're part of the conversation about what to build, you build it, and you watch it reach production. Salary advance, FGTS, and consignado move money in people's lives every month, so what you ship has direct consequences for someone.

This role is remote. The team gathers at our Campinas office twice a year, and as part of Tilt you'll join two global offsites annually — past locations include Vail, San Diego, and Mexico City.

• Build and evolve the mobile app in React Native and web products in React and TypeScript — owning your workstreams from design handoff through production

• Ship the interfaces behind salary advance, FGTS, and consignado — flows where clarity and correctness decide whether someone gets credit

• Extend a clean-architecture codebase as new products are added, keeping structure and separation of concerns intact as the surface area grows

• Work with APIs and the BFF layer to shape the contracts your screens depend on — enough backend fluency to know where logic belongs

• Collaborate directly with product, credit, compliance, and analytics; your technical perspective is part of the conversation, not downstream of it

• Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions in ways that make the work around you better

• 4+ years of combined frontend and mobile engineering experience — if you're close and the rest fits, let's talk

• Solid experience with React Native for mobile and React with TypeScript for web

• Hands-on experience with a state management library — we care that you've worked seriously with one, not which one

• Comfort with clean architecture and separation of concerns; an instinct for how software scales as products are added

• Working knowledge of backend and BFF concepts — enough to reason about API contracts and where logic belongs

• Fluent Portuguese and advanced English (C1) — collaboration with the broader Tilt team happens in English, written and spoken

• Comfortable using AI-powered development tools as a genuine productivity lever (we use Claude; similar experience transfers)
