Salary: Level 6 Step 1 ($3,089.25 biweekly)

Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, the Procurement Assistant provides administrative and clerical support with respect to the TH Government’s procurement process, including document preparation, records management, tender and contract tracking, and communication with other TH Government Departments and vendors. The incumbent ensures that procurement activities are organized, well documented and compliant with the TH Government's Finance Act and Procurement Policy.
An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12, with education, training, experience or skills in administration, business, accounting or related field along with a minimum of one year of related experience in an office environment; an equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, and skills may be considered.
- Experience with procurement or contracting processes is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with electronic filing systems and databases is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prepare documentation accurately from verbal or written instruction.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and be sensitive to and understanding of First Nation culture and traditions.
Conditions of Employment:
- Criminal Records Check.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license with clear driver's abstract.
- TH101 Cultural Awareness training.
- Willingness to undertake training or courses to enhance skills.
