The Manager, Pricing for2J Supply) is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies in alignment with Rheem’s business initiatives, pricing offers in the Market and Product mix to maximize variable margin across a product line, asset base, and customer and business segment. This position develops pricing analytics to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and the impact of materials and other cost changes on the profitability of product lines. The Manager, Pricing coordinates contract development, drafting and compliance programs around pricing and other commercial offering elements. In addition, the Pricing Manager monitors customer buying patterns, competitive behaviors, market dynamics and recommends adjustments as necessary. This position will report to the Manager, Sales at 2J Supply.
This position will serve our 2J Supply Division, located in Dayton, OH.
- Develop and recommend standard market pricing strategies based on competitive analysis and product advantages
- Oversee the execution of annual price updates from major brands, ensuring precise and timely implementation
- Conduct thorough reviews of customer pricing to maintain competitiveness and relevance in the market
- Lead margin improvement initiatives by analyzing pricing, volume, share, and mix trends across customers and business segments
- Assess and report price gains by customer, region, and product category against planned targets
- Conduct post-mortem analyses on distributor and large dealer price repositioning, providing performance insights and improvement recommendations
- Design and enhance pricing and profitability metrics, including dashboard reports for process evaluation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams to gather customer feedback and refine pricing strategies for accurate ERP implementation
- Oversee the EPR process, managing communication with the Rheem pricing team and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements
- Evaluate proposed customer rebate programs, assessing their impact on overall profitability
- Monitor pricing programs to ensure compliance and controlled use of exception pricing agreements
- Support pricing systems improvement projects, coordinating across Rheem Air Distribution (RAD) divisions to meet strategic objectives
- Present data-driven pricing recommendations and profit optimization insights to senior management
- Drive pricing process improvements by developing innovative structures that enhance profitability, flexibility, and control
- Lead initiatives in pricing and profit optimization, fostering collaboration across departments
- Work closely with RAD Pricing team members to exchange insights and align strategies
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business goals
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field required
5+ years of experience in customer service, purchasing, finance or sales but most preferably in pricing/revenue management
Experience in the HVAC industry preferred, but not required
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong understanding of B2B pricing principles and techniques
General understanding of accounting principles
Experience with NetSuite is preferred
Ability to work with a variety of people and handle difficult situations in a positive and professional manner
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent time management and organization skills
Entrepreneurial, goal-driven, and self-motivated
Willingness to travel as required, approximately 10-20%
