Monitoring, correcting, and improving driving behaviors and operations, mentoring and coaching drivers, assisting in the recruitment, discipline, and termination of drivers, evaluating drivers’ performances, setting driving schedules with fleet supervisors in coordination with the operations requirements. 3. Tracking driver attendance, health, and other statuses, ensuring drivers’ adherence to policies and applicable government labor and transport regulations. 4. Providing route and operations information and technologies, maintaining constant communication with the Technical Manager, Fleet Supervisors, drivers and operators and the operations team. 5. Reports to the Technical Manager on issues and bottlenecks detected in fleet operations, fleet’s performance and expenses, budgets and major purchases, costs of fleet operations. 6. Plans and sets fleet-level targets, coordinate with other department the training drivers on risk management protocols, safety standards, over-speeding, excessive idling, over-staying, trucks turn around and more. 7. Oversee and schedule vehicle inspection, maintenance, and servicing to minimize downtime, maintain all vehicle information and inspection records, develop functional, profit-maximizing driver and operator schedules and routes, ensure that drivers and operators follow their designated working hours. 8. Reduce unnecessary expenses and increase fuel efficiency, secure the fleet’s compliance with applicable regulations, guarantee excellent fleet service, analyze fleet performance data and improve accordingly, report fleet performance and finances to Technical Manager. 9. Collaborate with other teams and departments to coordinate proper transportation and ensure timely delivery and excellent turn around, address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions and prioritize according to urgency and importance. 10.Collaborate with the Workshop Maintenance Manager in the development and implementation of company maintenance and preventive maintenance policies, practices, and procedures, Oversee and monitor preventive maintenance work and perform quality assurance audits and attainment of operational and effective maintenance goals. 11.Establishes and maintains safety programs for assigned staff; implements related action plans. Responds to and investigates work related injury and/or illness. Ensures division activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. 12.Ensure maintenance records for fleet are accurate and up to date. Utilize and maintain the specified fleet management information system AFRITRACK System to effectively monitor and report on the fleet program. 13.Ensure driver and operator certificates and licenses are up to date, seeing to it that all expired licenses etc. are not allowed to operate any company vehicles. Request support for concern department and team members for assistance in the fast tracking of renewal of licenses. 14.Reports all major and minor issues to the Technical Manager pertaining fleet operations day to day activities. Issue and recommend to the Technical Manager the misbehavior, over-speeding, excessive idling and all irregularities make by drivers and operators. 15.Work collaboratively to contribute to supporting the achievement of the Technical Department and organization’s business goals. 16.Manage day-to-day operations of the vehicles, trailers, and equipment. Monitor the whereabouts of all company vehicles, trailers and equipment. 17.Prepares reports that details fleet inventory, maintenance, costs, performance and efficiencies to the Technical Manager weekly. 18.Ensure and collaborate with the IMS (ISO9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018) is implemented actively: SOP’s, process flows and related documents are up to date and adhered to by the staff 19.Provide advice and share knowledge and information to work team members on fleet and technical issues. 20.Take on any tasks or projects that will benefit the company’s operations and growth, especially those related to Technical Department. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Transport & Logistics, Fleet Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations. Knowledge of fleet maintenance, vehicle tracking systems (e.g., AFRITRACK), and regulatory compliance. Experience in supervising drivers, operators, and fleet-related personnel.
