| Position Overview: |
The Research Specialist provides technical support for the core imaging facilities in the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (CNMS). Responsibilities are accomplished by applying specialized and theoretical knowledge, principles, and concepts of a professional discipline acquired through advanced education or specialized training. Duties include providing research expertise and training for instrument users on a range of optical and electron microscopes as well as the development and execution of fee-for-service imaging projects. The Research Specialist also assists with facilities operation, which includes resolving technical issues, administrative tasks such as record keeping and billing, the development of facility policies and procedures, and supervision of junior staff. |

Salary: $62,000 - $70,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. |
