The University of Miami/UHealth has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Administrative Operations. The Manager, Administrative Operations, plays a critical role in supporting the strategic and operational goals of UHealth by providing high-level project management, operational oversight, and administrative leadership. This position works closely with the Executive Director of UHealth Operations and Experience and executive leaders to drive complex initiatives, enhance performance, and ensure effective coordination across the health system.

Provides regular, timely updates to the Executive Director, UHealth Operations and Experience, on key initiatives, administrative assignments, and project progress.

Assists in setting strategic direction for key programs and facilitates implementation of health system initiatives on behalf of executive leadership.

Works under consultative direction to support long-term objectives that drive financial performance and operational excellence.

Serves as liaison between senior leadership and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, follow-up, and alignment.

Acts as the primary point of contact for the UHealth Operations team, managing sensitive and confidential issues with discretion.

Participate in conferences, meetings, and other activities as required; prepare materials for meetings and take minutes as requested.

Lead and collaborate end-to-end project management for complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning clinical operations, finance, IT, and administration

Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying scope, scale, and complexity

Prepare polished executive and board level deliverables including reports, slide decks, dashboards, and briefing materials

Identify operational inefficiencies and facilitate structured improvement efforts aligned with health system strategic priorities

Apply performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent) to drive sustainable process change

Creates and maintains documents, reports, and correspondence; manages scheduling, appointments, and operational communications.

Supports engagement initiatives and operational events across UHealth locations, ensuring efficient planning and execution.

Manages budgets for assigned teams or projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and responsible resource utilization.

Conducts research and benchmarks best practices in healthcare operations and patient experience to inform strategic decisions.

Analyzes data and develops visualizations to provide actionable insights that support UHealth’s operational and strategic goals.
Requirements
~1 min read5+ years of progressively responsible administrative or operations experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from concept through execution.
Strong proficiency in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations, including board-ready decks, leadership briefings, and data-driven slide narratives
Proficiency in Workday, Microsoft Office Suite Programs, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI), and project tracking systems (e.g., SmartSheet)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to build consensus and collaborate across departments but also able to work independently as needed.
Ability to manage change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a teamwork environment which pursues a positive patient care experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field required.
Operational Management: Optimizes day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change.
Financial Oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management.
Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
Other duties may be assigned to the above consistent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
