The consultant will provide specialized, cross-sectoral technical expertise to design, refine, and institutionalize advanced information management and analytical systems. The assignment will cut across all UNICEF programme and cross-cutting sections and corporate systems, with a focus on strengthening data integration, advancing analytical capacity, and automating scalable tools for evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements:
  • Education:  Advanced university degree (Master`s) in one of the following fields: Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, Computer Science, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field in social sciences or development studies
  • Work Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in information management, data analytics, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing data integration systems, including working with multiple data sources (programme, financial, and partner datasets).
  • Proven track record in advanced data analysis and visualization, including development of dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools).
  • Experience in cross-sectoral analysis within development or humanitarian contexts, including linking programme results, population reach, and financial data.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, including data cleaning, harmonization, and development of data structures and protocols.
  • Language Requirements: English is required
  • Desirables : Prior experience with UN agencies, UNICEF, or similar international organizations is highly desirable, particularly familiarity with Results-Based Management (RBM) frameworks and corporate systems (e.g., RAM, eTools).
