UNICEF Côte d’Ivoire is implementing a stretch assignment to reinforce its Finance function, ensuring continuity of operations and compliance with UNICEF financial rules, IPSAS standards and audit requirements. Enhance financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely delivery of key finance outputs including VAT management, cash forecasting, and financial reporting.
- VAT Exemption Management
- Process VAT exemption requests and liaise with authorities and suppliers.
- Submit to the finance officer VAT exemption monthly report.
- Submit VAT Exemption request to authorities on a weekly basis after completion of mandatory signatures.
- Cash Forecast and Planning
- Collect inputs and prepare consolidated monthly cash forecast.
- Elaborate the end month balance three working days after the month end.
- Month-end Closing and Reporting
- Prepare month-end balances and support financial closure activities.
- HACT Assurance Support
- Review partner budgets and ensure compliance before submission to PRC for approval.
- Document Management and Archiving
- Maintain compliant financial documentation archives as per policy (physical and digital).
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance/Business administration, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Finance/Admin unit within UNICEF as a finance and/or Admin associate at GS6/GS7 level
- Language: Fluency in French and working knowledge in English are required
