UNICEF is looking for a highly committed professional who can contribute to the effective delivery of administrative and operational support services. In this role, the Administrative Associate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of office operations and service delivery. The position offers the opportunity to support a collaborative, inclusive, and well‑organized work environment through reliable administrative support, effective coordination, and clear communication. The role requires solid, broad‑based administrative experience, a strong understanding of organizational workflows, and the ability to work independently with professionalism, attention to detail, and a consistent focus on quality and deadlines.

Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Administrative Associate provides administrative management support and coordinates in carrying out administrative and selected specialized tasks. These services require a strong, practical knowledge of UNICEF administrative policies, procedures, and systems.

About the Role

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in administration or related to the work of the organization is required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in administration is required, preferably with the UN or other international organization is required. A completed BA degree qualifies as 3 years’ experience and Master`s degree qualifies as additional 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in event planning and knowledge of UN/UNICEF rules is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP, is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced work environment is desirable
  • Proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive communication and information is desirable.
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize is desirable.
  • Work experience in a shared services centre context is an asset.
  • Previous experience in planning, organizing and delivering administrative support services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of UN/UNICEF'S rules, regulations and procedures is considered an asset.
