Conduct technical studies and analyses related to granting and approving airworthiness certificates for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft and systems, ensuring the safety of their design, structure, and maintenance. Duties include evaluating engineering certification standards, reviewing design and manufacturing documentation, and verifying compliance with regulatory requirements, in addition to supporting VTOL ground and flight testing and verifying the conformity of operational systems.

- →Conduct technical analyses and studies ensuring the safe integration of AAM technologies into the aviation ecosystem.

- →Build technical capabilities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) within GACA.
Function 3 (incl. Expected results)
- →Update existing regulations to incorporate AAM relevant systems & technologies.

- →Develop regulations and procedures, prepare technical recommendations, and obtain the required approvals.

- →Develop new regulations to enable airworthiness certification issuance.

- →Define processes to conduct surveillance/oversight of testing and compliance.

Education
- →Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
Professional experience
The incumbent works under the direction of the General Management of Advanced Air Mobility – AAM, within the Aviation Safety and Environmental Sustainability sector. The role requires close coordination with internal GACA departments, regulatory bodies, OEMs, operators, and international aviation organizations.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the field.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience with ICAO standards and recommended practices related to AAM or emerging aviation technologies.
Languages
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable
