University Partners is seeking an accounting professional with 2–4 years of corporate accounting experience to support multiple entities, strengthen treasury and compliance processes, and drive efficiencies on our growing team in Downtown Dallas.



Job Purpose:
Assist the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Compliance with accounting execution of corporate financial information and compliance and treasury efforts in a timely and accurate manner.  The candidate will be expected to exhibit creative and flexible skills, working in a growing environment. 



Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Perform full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable review, journal entries, monthly accruals/amortizations, and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for accounting for multiple property management company corporate entities.
  • Manage Fixed Asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation.
  • Reconcile expense reimbursement transactions via corporate receivables with property liabilities.
  • Review Property Management Agreements
  • Spearhead corporate fee revenue collection efforts.
  • Assist with Treasury efforts, including bank account openings/closings and monitoring fraud prevention tools, with multiple banking partners.
  • Activate accounts within vendor management processes.
  • Manage credit card transaction review, policy compliance, and journal entry posting.
  • Record journal entries for corporate and property-level payroll transactions.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and help increase efficiencies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2-4 years of prior corporate-level accrual basis accounting
  • Prior experience working in Treasury & Accounts Payable functions
  • Real estate investment/management company experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel application
  • Experience with Entrata, MRI, and/or Yardi accounting software preferred
  • Candidate needs to be coachable, enthusiastic, creative, flexible, display strong technical aptitude, detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Location – Downtown Dallas - Bank of America Plaza (“green” building)
