The Senior Product Developer sits at the heart of the product lifecycle, partnering closely with Buying, Design, Technical Design and suppliers to bring seasonal collections to life. Combining strong technical capability with commercial acumen, you will drive product outcomes that align to the Witchery brand vision while ensuring quality, margin and delivery expectations are achieved.
As a leader within the business, you will also play an important role in building a high performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture that inspires innovation, accountability and growth.
- Lead and optimise the critical path and go to market calendar to ensure products launch on time and in full
- Drive the end to end product development process across an apparel category, from concept through to production
- Partner closely with Buyers, Designers and Technical Designers to deliver commercially viable and brand aligned product solutions
- Manage category costing to achieve quality and margin targets, providing cost estimates and alternative solutions where required
- Lead supplier negotiations to deliver strong commercial outcomes while maintaining quality and brand standards
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, managing communication and capacity planning across the supply chain
- Engage with factories throughout the development lifecycle to ensure clarity, alignment and execution excellence
- Identify risks, problem solve proactively and coordinate cross functional stakeholders to keep delivery on track
- Support and lead strategic change with clarity, adaptability and optimism
- Foster an inclusive and high performing team environment where people feel respected, supported and empowered to succeed
- Significant experience in Product Development within womenswear apparel, ideally across premium or luxury fashion
- Strong understanding of garment costing, sourcing and supplier negotiation within high volume production environments
- Proven ability to manage complex critical paths and balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align product decisions to business and brand objectives
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and ethical sourcing standards
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building capability across internal teams and external suppliers
- Experience leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and people focused leadership style
- Strong planning, organisation and problem solving skills with a proactive approach to delivery
