The Manager II, Board Engagement & Giving, is responsible for advancing CRS’s philanthropic strategy through the engagement of Foundation and Governing Board Directors. Reporting to the Senior Director, Board Engagement and Giving, the Manager supports the design and implementation of board member stewardship and engagement, with a goal of contributing to the success of CRS’s comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Manager collaborates across divisions to ensure a select portfolio of givers (current and potential board members) are equipped to serve as philanthropic leaders, connectors, and ambassadors for CRS’s mission. while managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors.
Responsibilities
~2 min readFundraising & Donor Management
- →Manage the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for a portfolio of select major donors (current board directors as well as potential future board candidates).
- →Develop and implement tailored engagement strategies for high worth individuals, ensuring giving and advocacy efforts align with and support Agency Campaign initiatives.
- →Organize strategy sessions and other events to increase giving within the portfolio as well as influence giving from their respective networks.
- →Partner with Leadership Giving Relationship Managers and Senior Director Leadership Giving to coordinate donor engagement plans for portfolio of donors, including current board members.
Board Engagement Support
- →Support Senior Director Board Engagement and Giving in the development and implementation of tailored engagement and stewardship strategies for board members who are donors to CRS.
- →Schedule strategy sessions and other events related to the successful engagement and cultivation of Board Directors as it pertains to CRS campaign initiatives.
- →Contribute to the creation of high-impact communications and stewardship materials, providing necessary resources for deepening board member engagement, philanthropic giving and sharing withing their respective networks.
Campaign Support
- →Assist in the execution of board-related components of CRS’s comprehensive fundraising campaign.
- →Contribute to board-hosted events and peer engagement initiatives that advance campaign goals.
- →Prepare briefing materials and talking points for board members involved in campaign activities.
Cultivation and Pipeline Planning
- →Contribute to the identification and cultivation of potential board candidates (based on past and potential giving and campaign leadership), in collaboration with the Senior Director, Board Engagement and Giving, as well as cross-functional partners.
- →Support onboarding and experiential learning opportunities for new board members.
Events and Trips Management
- →Partner with the Events Team to ensure strategic alignment and excellence in board-related event planning and execution.
- →Develop and implement holistic strategies in coordination with concerned teams advancing donor’s philanthropic relationships as well as broader engagement with the Agency.
- →Provide guidance in the planning and execution of Journey of Hope trips, ensuring meaningful board participation and post-trip engagement.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Bachelor's degree in development studies, fundraising, business management, or other related areas.
- →Minimum 8 years of professional experience in fundraising, board development, or strategic engagement
- →Minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience
- →Extensive experience working with institutional or private donors
- →Experience working with senior leadership, boards, and volunteers
Requirements

- Experience working in the field of development and humanitarian programming
- Non-Profit management and supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated success and proven track record in cultivating, soliciting, and closing of major gifts
- Familiarity with international development and philanthropic strategy
- Proficient in using donor and board databases (ClearView, SharePoint, etc.)
- Strategic thinker and persuasive communicator
- Exceptional collaborator and creative problem solver
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Proven success in cultivating senior-level relationships and managing complex stakeholder initiatives
