Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Database Integration & Data Automation Senior Analyst to join our team! This position will support a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) program. The Senior Analyst will provide technical and analytical support for database integration, data migration, data quality, workflow automation, reporting, and modernization activities.


The position will work closely with the project’s Senior Consultant/SME and Program Manager to maintain and enhance existing data-management processes while supporting migration and integration of program information across current and future platforms.


The ideal candidate has significant experience working with enterprise data, relational databases, system integrations, data migration, requirements analysis, data governance, workflow automation, and business intelligence/reporting solutions.


This position is Remote.

 



What will you be doing?

 

This position will be a key member of the FTA team.  Duties include:

 

  • Support the Senior Consultant/SME with database integration, data migration, system modernization, and technical implementation
  • Analyze existing databases, datasets, business processes, and workflows to identify integration requirements, dependencies, data gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the migration, mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation of data between legacy and modernized systems.
  • Develop and maintain data mappings, data dictionaries, field definitions, database documentation, process documentation, and system requirements.
  • Perform data-quality reviews and reconciliation activities to identify duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
  • Support relational database development and maintenance, including Microsoft Access and other enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop and support automated workflows and business processes using tools such as Power Automate or comparable automation technologies.
  • Support development of dashboards, reports, queries, metrics, and analytical products using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and related tools.
  • Gather business and program requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical, database, integration, and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct testing and validation of database changes, data migrations, integrations, automated workflows, and reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data, database, integration, and workflow issues and coordinate resolution with technical and program stakeholders.
  • Support data governance, access controls, data integrity, auditability, and documentation requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve the efficiency and reliability of program operations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, status information, briefings, recommendations, and implementation materials for project and Government stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with FTA personnel, project leadership, analysts, and technical resources to support program objectives.
  • Provide additional technical and analytical support for FTA transportation-safety programs as required.



What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?



This position will require the following skillsets and experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree plus7 years of relevant professional experience, or Master’s degree plus 5 years of relevant professional experience or Education/experience equivalency
  • Significant professional experience with database integration, data migration, data management, data governance, or enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical or data requirements.
  • Experience with relational databases, data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and data-quality management.
  • Experience documenting databases, systems, workflows, technical requirements, and business processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, integrations, migrations, or modernization efforts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Must successfully complete required FTA/DOT suitability requirements before beginning work on the FTA project.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience developing automated workflows, dashboards, reporting solutions, or business-intelligence products.
  • Experience with cloud migrations, enterprise platform integrations, or legacy-system modernization.
  • Experience working with Federal Government programs or regulated environments.
  • Experience with data governance, auditability, regulatory reporting, or compliance-related data.
  • Experience supporting transportation, transit, aviation, or safety-management programs.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum, data analytics, or related professional certifications are desirable.
