  • Sparring partner to the CEO and, by extension, to the Executive Committee on all financial, ICT and procurement matters.
  • Leading the finance department at director level and as such contributing to corporate policies in a general sense, and more specifically being responsible for the short- and long-term finance policy including (but not limited to) Accounting, Budgeting, Cash Management, Controlling, FP&A, Reporting, Tax, Treasury.
  • Develop and implement finance initiatives aligned with organizational objectives to support the company's healthy growth.
  • You are a pro-active player at director level who owns final financial, ICT and procurement responsibility and has affinity with the entire organisation. As a human being among people, you help build the culture in the organisation.
  • As a CFO you will actively participate in the co-creation of the organisation’s strategic policies and objectives and contribute proactively to overall business operations. You will then translate these policies and objectives into operational targets, tailored to the finance and procurement domain.
  • You are a strong people manager able to coach and to develop a finance & procurement team of 20+ people.
  • You are overseeing the specific funding of all activities and ensure that grants are correctly secured and processed.
  • You manage the sector regional specific subsidies adding on the complexity to support the business operations, which requires a strategic approach, rigorous administration and timely action.
  • You have an eye for developments in the digitisation of processes and data management, as well as for digital transformations. Together with your teams, you will develop initiatives aimed at process optimisation within the organisation, leading to improved efficiency, cost reductions and/or contributing to the creation of added value for all customers.
  • You develop, initiate and coordinate various projects within finance and procurement for the optimal use of budgets and to support the change processes within the entire organisation.
  • You build on an accessible and collegial finance department that assumes a business partner role and is visibly present.
  • You organise monthly financial reporting at group level within the agreed deadlines.
  • You coordinate and maintain relationships with auditors, banks and the HQ abroad.
  • You follow market developments closely and ensure that this knowledge is transferred to your team.
  • You steer the financial success of the company so that the set objectives can be achieved.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, (International) Finance, Economics and Business Administration, Commercial Engineering…A business controlling background would be a great asset.
  • You have proven knowledge and experience in setting up and managing a high-performing and forward-looking finance and procurement department, preferably within a large and complex services organisation.
  • You are a finance generalist with vision and a solid all-round finance experience in a strongly regulated services environment with a similar scope. Preferably you also have business experience that goes beyond finance.
  • After starting your career, you quickly felt the need to transform working methods and to take the lead within your own functional domain. Your conceptual thinking skills mean that today you are able to organize a proactive and forward-thinking finance policy.
  • You have a thorough understanding of the processes within a finance and procurement department. Knowledge of funding mechanisms within the hospitality and/or healthcare sector is an advantage. Or you are able to quickly familiarise yourself with the relevant legislation and regulations.
  • You have a modern approach to financial management, data management, digitalisation and digital transformation. You have a strong interest in ICT with an enlarged interest in how to best use technology throughout the organisation.
  • You communicate openly and diplomatically, with persuasiveness and impact, and maintain good relations with all interest groups in the organisation.
  • You are an entrepreneurial mentor who has a feeling for what is going on, takes ownership and anchors finance responsibilities in the entire organisation, an organiser and facilitator who correctly identifies pro-actively finance & procurement needs and proposes efficient, tailor-made processes.
  • You are experienced in managing change and leading organizational transformations.
  • Accounting obligations, banking systems, compliance, (external) audits, M&A, international consolidations, corporation tax, treasury, controlling, and risk assessment & control hold few secrets for you.
  • You possess outstanding project management skills, and you have a well-developed business acumen.
  • You are a valued people manager and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are KPI-driven and have a proven result-oriented track record.
  • You demonstrate a flexible attitude with a healthy sense of humor.
  • You are familiar with common financial reporting systems. Mastery of MS Office.
  • Mother tongue: Dutch. Fluent in French and English.
