Spearhead and take ownership of the data curation application. You won't just take tickets; you will own the full lifecycle of the application's features
Engineer high-performance Python web services and optimize database interactions for large-scale data ingestion
Assume full responsibility for features from technical design and estimation to deployment, testing, and observability
Accelerate architectural enhancements and participate in the decision-making to ensure the application remains scalable, generic, and maintainable
Proper the end-to-end development of high impact features for our data curation platform
Lead the integration of complex software components, turning requirements into robust, fully functional solutions
Work with very large data sets
Optimize application performance
Dissect feature requirements, provide the technical vision, and create estimations
Expertise in Python and its core libraries, including experience with FastAPI or a similar framework
Very good understanding of data modeling and storage using Postgres
Experience deploying software and managing infrastructure
Proficiency in designing and developing APIs and building data-intensive applications
Excellent testing, debugging, and documentation skills
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Excellent communication skills in English
You are proactive, able to communicate progress and delays, to work autonomously, and can take care of technical issues outside of their expertise
Located in Spain, Portugal, or Germany
Hands-on experience with cloud technology stack (AWS, GCP)
Experience with modern web front-end frameworks like React
Experience with any of the following: Airflow, EMR Studio, Athena, Kafka, MongoDB
