The Team You’ll Join: Veris Insights' University Recruiting Syndicated Research team develops data-driven insights that help recruiting leaders navigate the early career recruiting landscape. Our research informs how leading employers attract, engage, and hire early career talent by pairing large-scale survey data with qualitative research and strategic analysis.
 
Our team studies the evolving dynamics of early career recruiting, from how students evaluate opportunities to how employers design recruiting strategies. Through surveys, interviews, and syntehsis of macrodata, we identify emerging trends and translate them into practical insights that help our members make better decisions. 
 
Your Role: As a Project Manager on the UR Syndicated Research team, you will execute research studies that explore key questions shaping the future of early career recruiting. This role is primarily qualitative, with a strong focus on designing and conducting interviews with Talent Acquisition leaders, Heads of University Recruiting, Heads of Career Services, and other senior stakeholders. 
 
You will synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and develop research reports that translate findings into clear, actionable perspectives for our members. This role involves regular collaboration with internal leadership, with research deliverables directly informing firm-level priorities and decision-making.
 
How You'll Grow: This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise as a researcher while contributing to the development of Veris Insights' research agenda. 
 
You will build experience designing and executing complex research studies to investigate emerging questions in early career recruiting. Through this work, you will strengthen your ability to conduct high-level interviews, synthesize diverse inputs into clear insights, and translate research findings into clear, structured outputs. 
 
Over time, you will take on increasingly complex studies, expanding your ability to tackle ambiguous questions, connect multiple sources of information, and produce research that informs how employers approach early career recruiting.

Experienced End-to-End Researcher. You are highly organized and capable of managing complex research studies from initial question framing through final deliverable, ensuring rigor, clarity, and timely execution. 
Qualitative Researcher. You are comfortable conducting interviews and analyzing qualitative data to identify themes, patterns, and insights.
Insightful Communicator. You translate research findings into clear narratives, frameworks, and reports that help others understand what the data means. 
Analytical Storyteller. You enjoy working through complex questions and synthesizing multiple sources of information into clear conclusions. 
Curious and Self-Directed. You are motivated to investigate new questions, explore emerging trends, and continuously deepen your understanding of the early career recruiting landscape. 
  • Lead research studies from concept through final deliverable, including framing research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
  • Design and execute research approaches that may include qualitative interviews, focus groups, surveys, and secondary research.
  • Conduct interviews with employers, students, and industry practitioners to explore emerging questions in early career recruiting.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative inputs to identify meaningful patterns, themes, and signals across multiple sources of information.
  • Develop research deliverables, like research reports, toolkits, one-pagers, and guides in PowerPoint or Canva, that translate findings into clear narratives, frameworks, and insights for members.
  • Translate the research agenda into clear project plans and timelines, ensuring studies progress efficiently and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Veris Insights, including research, member experience, and growth teams, to ensure insights are integrated into member conversations and product initiatives.
  • Partner with research leadership to refine study approaches and strengthen how research insights are generated and delivered.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging topics, and relevant data sources to ensure research remains timely and impactful.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how research insights are structured, communicated, and applied by members.
  •  
  • 3-5 years of experience in market research or consulting; experience in HR, talent acquisition, or talent management is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously with strong organization and follow-through
  • Experience designing and executing research using mixed methods, with a strong emphasis on qualitative work
  • Strong qualitative research skills, including conducting interviews and synthesizing themes across complex inputs
  • Ability to interpret quantitative data and integrate it with qualitative insights
  • Strong narrative skills, with the ability to translate research into clear, structured, and compelling outputs
  • High attention to detail and comfort working through ambiguous problems
  • Salary: $80,000-$92,500 annually, depending on experience
  • Location: Remote-first within the U.S., with occasional travel to Washington, DC for in-person collaboration, team off-sites, or strategic planning
